From Greenville, South Carolina comes RetroVertigo , an explosive, high energy cover
band playing favorites from the 80's and more. Concentrating on stage presence and
up-tempo tunes to get the crowd moving, this band taps into its member’s history of
quality musicianship and talent to re-create a wide variety of some of the most colorful
music to come from the 80's.
Formed by drummer Marlon Slater and bassist Mike Henson, both former members of
Greenville’s own Seconds Flat, the experience of the members in RetroVertigo runs
deep. Guitarist Pat Hindman played in front of national acts Cheap Trick, Joan Jett, and
Hootie & the Blowfish as a member of dreamclock (Clemson, S.C.). Front-man/vocalist
Anthony Tomlinson, co-founding member of Seconds Flat, has shared the bill
alongside Marlon and Mike with acts Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris and Alison Krauss.
Add to this Jim North on keyboards, former member of Bridge from Tampa, FL, who
brings his classically trained skills and crafty synthesizer expertise to help bring all the
nuances of the classic 80's songs to life.
Combining years of two loyal and solid fan bases with active marketing, planning and
advertising, RetroVertigo will fill the hall with people ready to have a good time
listening to songs from the decade of Ferris Bueller, the Breakfast Club, and MTV.
